Need ID help with some Chinese coins...

...at least I think that they're coins from China. I guess that they could be charms or tokens also. Both are about 24mm in diameter and appear to be made of copper or bronze.

The characters in the upper left photo look upside down to me.
Are the side-by-sides the same coin, or the over-unders?
you are correct, they are both right side up.
If you hit this link, about halfway down, you will find a couple that match the 6:00 character, and although your coin has a much different style of character, I am almost certain the 3:00 & 9:00 characters is supposed to be a match as well. I can't match the 12:00
linked
I think the one on the right is a charm, also.
The author of the page I linked also points out that the coin has the same legend of a rarer japanese coin from 1617.

Here is an excellent source for Annamese cash. Check out the on-line cash identifier in the upper left hand corner.
But the coin Blackhawk posted does not have this legend.
Also, I would take the contents of the Roberts page on Asian coins with a few handfuls of salt. There are more than a few cases where he doesn't really know what he is talking about.
