Has this card lost weight?

Look at the bottom. Is it just me or does it look like it's missing some?

  • Just looks badly centered. Tough to tell from just a scan though. Email the seller and ask for a measurement....

I find it odd that Foxx is pictured in this card as a catcher, as he is mainly known as a 1st baseman........I had to look it up and out of 2317 games played he only caught in 109 games......................although 26 of them (out of 147 games played) were in 1935.

didn't he come up to the bigs as a catcher?

  • In 25 and 26 when he came up for the proverbial cup of coffee, he was used as a catcher. In 28 he even played a whopping 60 games at third. Seems after that he was mainly used as a first baseman and would occasionally fill in when it was needed....
  • While we're talking Foxx ...

Anyone know if there are any non-mainstream issues for him that are closer to his actual rookie year than the '33s? Anything, really. Postcards? Stamps? Popsicle sticks?

    Thanks
