That is really an unfortunate name. The coinvault most people think of are the rather 'interesting' people who were on some kind of home shopping network hawking gold plated state quarters or whatever.

The 'coinvault' you have linked to is really Clark Smith who is a very well respected dealer and I have bought a couple of (small) items from him. I have never heard a bad rumor or deal associated with Clark Smith and if he had the coin and I had the money I would not hesitate to buy from him.

I just wish he'd change his web address imageimageimage

I have purchased (2) items from him in the past. Both were $1,200 - $1,500 items and I am totally happy.

    I check his inventory regularly.

I have purchased a 2 peso coin (i love winged Nike design on coins) from him and he was very good to deal with. Prompt shipment and the coin was just as described.

As far as I know, he's using his own name on ebay: Text

Clark is a nice person to deal with, but more than often I find his inventory over-priced. Recommended though.
