sports century greatest? secretariat...over Mantle

I'm recently spending and trading a few things to get back some cards I love. While I don't own many old greats any more(I never had that many anyway) I'm into little things a dime a dozen...Dave winfield RC for 5 bucks sure, I need one (ebay). Then I saw an old show Sports century greatest 50 athletes; where secretariat was a greater ATHLETE than Mantle by espn rank. WOW. Then I thought again...Dave Winfield could've been an NBA/ABA star along with NFL stardom in his sites. He was drafted by one of the leagues I know. Besides the Dave in the MLB speaks for itself yet nowhere on the list from what I looked up. What do you think

and a side note Jack Nicklaus was #8ish. He holds all golf records (that could be broken.) I love everything about his game attitude on and off a golf course. Me being only a high school golfer. I wouldn't consider myself to rank golf player too high. Should Richard Petty or Dale Sr. be there too? A sport where I is the matter in the list...Ali is the greatest...but is he really the greatest athlete. unless you achieve in many fields to be a multi-sport single competition (golf,bowling ect) althete Babe zaharia D. should be up there...Thorpe...even Bo (maybe)
Some QB'S can throw 4,000 yards and play scratch golf (johnny bench is was on the Senior PGA)...Boxing had many great edurance athletes that could possibly excel at basketball and football; but I can't see many fitting. Please somebody help me with pros and cons. Jack is well, well deserving.
Also I do consider golf,tennis,table-tennis,track,nascar,x-games, ect..ect. to be sports with great althetes...but..someone else explain please.

Of course really quite silly to place a horse on a list with human athletes but for some reason they did it.

What about: Boston College beating the "hockey monster" the USSR?

...that was really was truly an unbelievible "sports century greatest (something or other!)"...

So, for a few hours during the past century, BC "hit one out of the gallaxy!"

Putting a college hockey team like Boston College, ...beating Russia in the World Olympic finals, over the greatness of a Mickey Mantle, or aSecretariat is tuff thing to do.

Considering what BC did that day, "ranks them close to the all-time best!"

Didn't Bob Gibson play for the Harlem Globe Trotters before becoming a HOF pitcher? Thats pretty dam impressive to me!

There is no way you can compare a horse to a human. That just makes no sense. But then again these list that rank athletes are just opinions, so take them with a grain of salt.

ha those are all good. I was thinking Dave was drafted by every league...but forgot. It seems like i've seen bob on a harlem gt card before. or some other hof'er. oh...and the BC is great but they were ranking the greatest ever althletes. BC is definitely one the greatest feats. like secretariat...a feat(er).
