Are 1964 Topps Giants ok for the tallboy special?

Sorry to be obtuse, never graded them. How about postcards?

  • I would think so, but probably best to call.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

any idea what a mid-grade GRADED set would sell for? i didn't see any complete sets on the bay.

    Thanks,

    ExMint about $250-300.
A set in PSA 8 went for about 2K recently, a set in PSA 9 didn't hit the 6K reserve, but was broken up for more than that a year ago. Prices are softer now, except in PSA 9/10 due to a new buyer. I think he was NARU'd though, so they may have settled back.

griffins thanks. i was thinking a set in a lower grade (overall 5 on average). i've got a set that would fall into this category and i was debating grading them. i've had this set a long time and would like to see it in a slab, but i may be able to purchase one graded cheaper than it would cost me to grade my set at the current grading special.

    Thanks,

Thanks fellas. Looks like this will actually be a fruitful special for me after all.

I don't think anything 7 or under is worth grading. Common 8's probably wouldn't be worth it either. Better to buy already graded.

I suggest that any 1964 Giant that won't grade at PSA 8 (except maybe Mantle) won't be worth the grading fees if that is a concern.

Raw sets can be had for ~$250 I believe.
