I picked up a Clemens and Mattingly - backs exactly right but the front is blank white. Anybody know anything about these?

How do you know that the backs aren't switched? Hmmmm? That might increase the value.

They are Topps. I'm no printing expert, but I would think the front needs to have a different base than the back in order to support the semi gloss finish.
Edited to add scan; the front "feels" smoother (and, no, I didn't give it the smell test ):

Story on them?? I saw a 86 blank on top of a rack pack so I know some were in packout.
