Freeman re-print

Over on the Pre-decimal forum they are talking about a re-print of 1985 edition of The Bronze coinage of Great Britain. Anyone heard anything about it here.

Nope, but it would be nice to do a reprint using 3" plates in the manner of the Noyes books. I would also add that plenty of 3-10x magnifications of key attribution points would greatly enhance it's value.
  • I would hope that it is more than a reprint though.... I would expect new discoveries to be included as well as better imaging..... to reprint the old with no revisions would be just like marching in place...... and going nowhere.....

I had been under the impression howeverm that MJF was indeed working on updating it as well, but I don't know for sure how true that is....
  • The word so far is that it will have 2006 prices and cost something like $75 or £75 for us in the UK.
