How do you convert ounces to troy ounces??

I have a sterling bowl that weighs 12.0 ounces on my postal scale. How is that measured in troy ounces? Thanks for the help. I know a lot of you guys are up on how bullion is weighed.

The easiest way is to go to Google and type:

12 oz. in troy oz.

into the search box.

Do the Google thing. It won't search the web, it will do the calculation for you.

It's actually 28.35 grams per oz.

1 oz = .9115 troy oz
1oz troy = 1.097 oz

That should be enought significant digits.
