anyone know why psa separates 1960-1971 and modern in bulk subs? the service is the same

anyone know why psa separates 1960-1971 and modern in bulk subs? the service is the same from what I can see, both are $6 , $75 max value and 45 day turnaround. why have 2 distinctions ? i would submit more if they were together since I would probably throw a bunch of 60's or a bunch of modern on the back of the sub each time.

Just a guess - but I thought maybe they had vintage graders and modern graders.

However, I've noticed some of the larger dealers do submit vintage cards and modern cards together. I don't know why they could do it for them and not for others.
