Organizing a Collection - The 2x2 Portion

I'm about to reorganize my collection and begin a computer inventory. My typing skills are great but my computer skills are limited at best. I'm about to transfer all of my coins (that are not already slabbed or in Airtites) into nice uniform non-PVC flips.
I'd like to be able to have typed labels or 2x2 inserts for each flip AND to create an inventory from information that I type. I'm limiting it to the basics: Country, Attribution number(s), Year, Mint, Denomination, Type and Variety. (I might also put in some code for catalog value or for acquisition date/price.)
Can anyone recommend a system for doing this that a computer dolt can manage?
In the alternative, have you tried some other system that you'd recommend?
Lastly, I have never rinsed any coin with acetone. This transfer process seems like a good time to have a go at it. I have a few dozen coins with apparent PVC damage, and who knows how many more with latent PVC exposure. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance....!
Edited to add: Total around 1,000 coins.

I made my own flip labels using MS Excel, and just cut them out and insert them into the flips, I include a country flag and all.
You can get a copy here if you like>>>>>> Flip Label
