Speaking of holes, LM and I have both long wanted to
pick over a swimming hole on the North Pigeon river---

    40' deep, 40degrees...

It'd be a BIT-CH to hunt underwater (if, of course, we had the machines)
but with as long as that's been a swimming hole, I'd bet that both that and the Warren Wilson
swimming hole would be full of interesting rings, chains etc..

Probably not too much in old coins, but you never know...

    what do you think, LM???

  • i have no idea how old the chain is phut....but based on other silver finds i've made, i dont think it's that old in terms of shipwrecked stuff......i've found quite a few silver rings and chains that looked just as cruddy as that one if not worse......it does'nt take long in the salt water to get in that bad of shape.....thanks for looking guys....have a great weekend
