1968 Topps...High Population of PSA 8, 9 and 10s?

I don't have access to the PSA Population report, but from my "general surfing" of ebay, I seem to see an
inordinate amount of high end, e.g. PSA 8, PSA 9 and PSA 10 cards for 1968 Topps. For example, here is
a link to a 1968 Topps Brooks Robinson PSA 10.

Further, I've noticed that some of the key cards in the set, e.g. Nolan Ryan RC, Johnny Bench RC, Mickey
Mantle virtually never sell at SMR. Now, I realize that SMR is merely a guide, but typically, high end cards
of HOFers sell near or even above SMR. Now this wouldn't be the case, if there is an inordinate amount
of high end 1968 Topps floating around out there.

Any and all thought are welcomed.

Huge find a number of years ago. A guy walked into the fort washington show with cases of opened cards that were stripped of the stars and unloaded the entire find. The pops do tell the story for this issue.

Agree with JayHawke. Way overprinted, tons of vending out there.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I had a nice vending run of one of the middle series...sent them in, and got almost all 8's and 9's. Even with the high pops, they have sold for very respectable prices on Ebay in the last few months, mostly to new collectors of that set.
