Dimitri, the actual figures released by the US Mint are that 143,000,000 people are collecting the states quarters. One percent of that would be 1,430,000 people. Those are the figures that I submitted to the ANA. Unfortunately, someone in the editorial department decided to make the numbers more "credible". image

P.S. I have made the correction in the article as posted on my website to reflect the true figures.

    Dan,

Thanks for writing the article. As a big fan of my world gold NCLT issues, I think you're assessment is right on the money. I have been able to purchase many proof gold issues, all of them are well struck and very artistically done; the kicker is that i've purchased all of them for right at, or under gold melt value. From a collecting, investing (hey, it IS gold after all) and artistic standpoint, I'm a big fan of them. Hey, who doesn't love a pretty face? My much cherished "Una" 2 Sov...........
