Another superb ebay seller....NOT

I won and paid for a card 18 days ago via paypal. Earlier today I sent the seller a very courteous email asking what the shipping status was. His reply was the following,

" I mailed the card, what the hell more do you want ? "

I just replied that a ship date, or even a courteous answer would have been acceptable, followed with a mention that it will be filed as item not received tomorrow. I of course followed that with thanking him for his superb customer service.

Needless to say, he wont be getting any business from me in the future. For the record, I had no problem at all with the card taking time, I understand things happen, I just wanted an answer that wasnt rude. Anyone who would like this sellers id for their own record can pm me.

It seems eBay can be a rough place to buy cards. I have only dealt will a handful of sellers so far and have had a bad experience myself. Does anyone keep a list of sellers to avoid? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hang around here long enough and you will get lots of info on sellers to avoid. Between a dozen or so I have come across myself and another 20 or so from board members my " dont ever f-ing buy from again list is getting looooong.

My list is long, too. But, not too long.

I cannot imagine why a seller would respond
like that to a simple Q about shipping status.

When I get that kind of Q, I immediately email
a copy of the USPS DC status-report. And, I
include a bunch of hand-holding "don't worry"
words.

I have not bought much in a very long time,
but I doubt I would buy anything from someone
I did not already know, unless I thought I was
stealing it and was willing to take a risk.

I've came across the same thing with a seller, I sent a nice E-mail asking if he sent the card He replied back i sent that Fu***** card awhile ago, get lost. I even saved the e-mail that i sent him and the one i recieved in return from him if anyones heard of him its Codyp2000 On Ebay.

Is there a "blocked seller" tool for buyers similar to the "blocked bidder" tool for sellers? I can't find it if there is.

The auction I won from Codyp2000 was only 8.00 was not worth him putting his little rude comments on my good feedback So I didnt leave him any comments.

We can only wish.. I have a list beside my puter, most of them I recogonize since I only deal with about 6 different sellers anyway.

Just a little update....

Still no card. No response to the claim I filed with paypal ( which in a way is better than the nasty response I received the 1st time)

Apparently this is a pattern for this seller. Maybe when he doesnt get the price he wants its easier to play this game. I wasnt going to give out his ebay id here, but since he was such a miserable SOB i may as well......

Oddly enough, I actually know this guy. He used to own a shop just down the road from me. I've bought from him several times without a problem.... but I certainly don't condone any sort of response similar to what you got. I run into him every now and then at local shows... I'll give him a hardtime for ya.

I understand it won't change a thing in your book, but he's actually a pretty nice guy... must have been having a bad day or something when he rudely responded to you.

Well he must have alot of bad days. His feedback tells the story better than anything I could say. Im obviously not the first one he has ripped off or bad mouthed along the way. Feel free to tell him I said so

It's pretty crazy how small of a world this is especially in the card world. I would havet to say The biggest thing the seller or any seller haset to do is just be honest about the card and customer service. When a seller is saying those bad words he does not realize how fast words get around especailly on here lol

any seller that says anything like that should be barred from selling.
