Since I am new I am not sure if this was mentioned before but I picked these up at the post office yesterday and they are sweet!

Very cool, indeed. I picked up 3 sets myself, too. Does anyone know if there will be another series?

I sure hope so. The player selection is interesting, as well. It leads me to believe (or at least hope) that there will be more...

Yeah they are very cool. I picked up a bunch too.

Are there supposed to be post cards to go along with those ? I thought I heard something along those lines but I could be wrong.

    The postcards are even better.

Most postal stations do not have them, but
they were on the USPS website last week.

  • My wife works for the USPS. Last year she brought home an order form for some beautiful wallhangings of various commemorative stamp sets. She bought a couple of the Disney character hangings -- and they are nice. If and when she brings one home this year, I'll let you all know and take some orders for these Famous Sluggers stamps.

The wallhanging includes a First Day Cover:

  • they look 1951 bowmanish...
  • i thought about it. they are very cool, of course, but it will take about 100 years for them to have any value in my opinion. they are worth having regardless.

    Probably more like 200+ years.

    Nice to look at though.

At first glance it looks like an uncut sheet of '51 Bowman.

They are cool and I also bought a page of these stamps. Frankly, after about ten seconds I got tired of looking at it and decided to use them for postage on my letters. My "best" family and friends get the Mantle stamp - LOL.
