    I wonder if they will scale back the 10 limit on the 3 piece gold since they sold out so early.

    From the mint press release:

    Because mintages of the 2006 American Eagle 20th Anniversary Sets are limited, orders should be placed early. The United States Mint reserves the right to limit quantities and may discontinue accepting orders at any time.

    They do cater to coin dealers though, so it probably won't happen. But if it does I see these sets skyrocketing even more than the $4000 price on ebay now because no one will part with them(if they are true collectors and not speculating) since the dealers were also limited in quantities.

    The BEP does this all the time after a quick sellout.

    The mint had a waiting list after they sold out. If enough people signed up... the waiting list was up for almost a day.
  • I am disappointed that I couldn't buy the 3 coin set in time. I just found out about it through a US Mint flyer in the mail. I did buy two of the two coin sets. I am hoping for a good appreciation for that set also.
