It's Official - eBay Says dmplrainbow is an upstanding seller! ???????? Very Very Sad.

Apparently, eBay feels that this seller has not done anything wrong. As far as I'm concerned, this proves that eBay is not looking out for the coin collecting community. If this sort of seller is not breaking any rules according to eBay policy, then no wonder eBay is a breeding ground for con artists and sellers of low ethical standards. It is becoming a cesspool and is turning away users everyday who get burned by these lowlifes. It is hurting both the hobby and eBay itself. I have now lost much respect for eBay and their Trust and Safety Team.

Message: xxxxx,
So are you saying that the evidence provided DOES NOT PROVE that
dmplrainbow was shilling and is associated with the ebay username that
was NRU'd for the shilling of dmplrainbow's items? His association with
an NRU'ed username, according to eBay policy (I thought) automatically
made him a candidate for termination. Additionally, his obvious
doctoring of photographs is intent to defraud and would probably hold
up
in court if a group of people that bought from him filed fraud charges.
Please call me if you would like additional information. I know that
eBay works with NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corp.) to provide population
data of certified coins and I have a good friend that was an NGC grader
and is a fellow coin dealer like myself. He offered to provide
any expert insight into what dmplrainbow is doing if you at
Trust and Safety want to speak with a grading expert in the field of
numismatics. You can reach him at 858 459-3884. His name is Mark Feld. (I'm guessing they didn't give you a call Mark.)
-Thanks,

eBay used to be a fairly safe and fun way to enjoy collecting coins. It was great to jumpstart a new era of collectors who are familliar and are comfortable with internet buying. Now, well. I don't know.

Your absolutely correct, the only coin ebay cares about is the coin flowing in their bank account........
The problem is finding a better market......when you find one let me know where it is.
The eBay policy is quite simple.
Step 1) Receive complaint
Step 2) Check revenue eBay receives from seller
Step 3) Send form letter to complaining party telling them their account won't be negatively affected for complaining - this time
You always have to remember, its called E-Bay because its loaded with SHARKS!

<< <i>If I recall correcly, the only way to get this guy bammed from Ebay would be if he suddenly turned to the good side and acutally started selling some good high dollar stuff! >>
Yes, because this would indicate that the account had been hijacked.

You said it. SGS/Abon is the biggest coin scam on Ebay.
