1880-S Morgan with a 75% Rainbow Atop PL+ Surfaces--Images by NutView™
Finally! After a summer reprieve without my copystand, macro lens, or lights, I've got them back and working! So if you like color, enjoy the next little while as I post photographs of some colorful newps I got over the summer but wasn't able to share, as well as a few pieces with updated, much better photos. Let me know what you think of them!
This 1880-S is graded MS63 by ICG, and I believe it's the toughest grade it could get. No, it's not a 64, but the reverse is PL+ which makes the color just jump on watery mirrored fields. The obverse also has decent mirrors, so I would have expected the PL designation. Oh, well, you know that phrase, "buy the coin, not the holder?" Yeah, it's true.
Here are two views of each side to see the coin at different angles.

Too bad Zorro got to Lady Liberty's cheek. She could have been a beauty otherwise.
