Well yep, that's a good thought. What happens when they don't sell out a limited issue? Do they drop the price to move them or eat them and melt them down?

I seriously doubt that they would drop the price now even if the price of gold dropped, they would say it was unfair to those who had reserved at the higher price. (besides those who had ordered at the high price who were still waiting would cancel and re-order at the low price.) And there wouldn't be melting down either because they don't normally stockpile that many, but prefer to strike to order. That is why so many orders sit on backorder. they don't have the product to fill the order yet.
