Vammers: I think I may have a new Top 100 sub-variety! Please advise!

Hey, folks!
I just purchased a 1900 VAM-18 Two Olive Rev. in PCGS MS-63. The coin has evidence of two clashes based on two wing clashes coming out from Liberty's neck and one strong incuse "n" with a weaker "n" touching its edge. The "s" and "t" from Trust can also be seen in the hair-vee. The coin has all the other usual evidence of clashing: spiked lips, wreath leaves on the obverse, etc.

I checked on Ashmore's site, but had no luck with previous documentation or pictures. Sorry, but I have no camera of my own, hence no pics!

Has anyone seen this Clash before? Heard of it? Is it new? Should I send it to Leroy for documentation? Do we have Leroy's email address?

Thanks for any help!
Bud

Very likely a misattributed one. Try VAM-30A. Look for a faint vertical die scratch in front of the eye and compare the clashing to images that are probably on Ash's website for the 30A.

BTW, if it is a 30A, it is a tougher and more desirable coin, even though it is not in the Hot-50. If if does match, get a hold of Mark Kimpton (morganvamclashie on here) and see where yours falls in the census based on grade. Mark is also the discoverer of the variety; found it 3 years ago. There might not be many known so far and the grades might not be high.

    John,
You got it! It's a VAM-30A. Good to know Dr. Kimpton is keeping a census of clashed varieties. I'd like to know about some of my others.
    Thanks!

Great! That is a better coin IMHO. I am sure Mark will agree. Wonder what grade his discovery coin was.
