How fast are the anniversary sets going to sell?

I placed my order around 12:30. Approximately 1 hr later, my friend placed his order.... and our confirmation numbers differed by over 10,000 orders....! Would have to assume the majority were from the Anniversary sets.....

Do you expect this pace will continue until sellout? If you place multiple orders, what did you observe on the confirmation number changes?

My e-mail for my first one came at 9:12, the last one at 9:53 and they were 9800 apart. Although I bought the max of everything it was spread over 4 orders so my average purchase was only 7.5 sets. --Jerry

As soon as they went on sale I ordered sets for myself and others within about 30 minutes of each other and there was a difference of about 5000. I expect all sets to sell out rather quickly. If the Gold set doesn't sell out today I'll be shocked.

From about 4PM EST, the number of orders slowed down.

However, I dont think that the Gold three piece will be available

by the end of Friday, The silver three piece set will be gone within

ten days.

I agree. The mint just created the key date for an uncirculated set of ASE's. Now only 270,000 complete uncirculated sets can ever exist with the minting of the 2006-W.

I am not sure how fast they will sell out but I know I place an order for the silver sets early today (right after noon mint time) and just place an order for the gold set. The different between the first order number and this last one was 17,199.

Doh! Now my Dansco album is obsolete! I have no port for a 2006w coin, nor will the albums that have PROOF ports have a spot for that or the reverse PROOF!

Time to build a new page!

Very strange, I place a order at 10 AM Pacific Time and another one at 2 PM and there's only 9,000 difference in the order numbers.

Just remember a lot of those orders are for multiple sets. I just upped my order from one to three of the A10 sets. Same order number.

Looks like I've lucked out in having one where the printed date stopped around 2001 or so.

I wonder if newer ones will have the 2006 anniversary slots...

Just placed an order for a couple more sets..... the confirmation number has increase ~35,000 more than the number I received yesterday for my first order around noon.

The 3 piece gold has already sold out.... how long for the other 2 options??

I just placed an order for the gold set in case of a cancellation. Gold will now tank and I'll get the set because that'susually my luck.

Good news is if gold tanks before December you can still cancel your order.

That's one of the good things about being backordered from the US Mint!! Ya got some time to change your mind...... but meanwhile, get those orders in fast!
