Were any reverse proof ASEs made at West Point?

The first article I saw on the anniversary sets said "All the coins would have the W mint mark. But now I see the ASE reverse proof will have the P mm.

If anyone gets W reverse proof silvers what would they be worth?

I think all of the gold coins will have a 'W' mint mark, including the reverse proof gold. But I am not positive on that... I have seen conflicting or incomplete info in a couple of different places. But I think the reverse proof silver has a 'P' mintmark.

  • Yes that is correct according to the mints press release. But FIRST I read ALL the coins would be "W"s. So I'm just not sure there are NO "W" Silver reverse proofs.

  • The Press is Confusing ! Wait for October for the definitive answer!
  • The original intent was to have all of the coins struck at West Point, but there is also a provision that allows them to be made at other facilities if West Point could not handle al of the job. Before production began it was decided to change the production site for the silver reverse proof from West Point to Philadelphia so there will be no W reverse proof silver eagles.
