1935 Crown edge lettereing

A simple question about the lettering around the 1935 crown or any crown with edge lettering. Is the way up random ie they read correct with head up or tail up in equal numbers.

My collection sample contains about 2 coins. I could give you the results of my study sample, but I don't think it would help.
