2006 W unc Silver Eagle

This will be rare also since the other uncs have no mint mark....and only 250,000 which is lower than the 1996.

I'm not sure about the mintage figures but you're right about the mint mark which should prove to be interesting. image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    That will be 270,000. 250K in A10 and 20K in A11.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!
  • Unc Silver Eagles, as well as Gold, Platinum, and Buffalos, I believe have no limit to their production b/c they are intended for bullion buyers, not collectors... so instead, the mintage is however many coins get ordered during the year...

This only applies if you consider all mint marks equal. The W mint mark will distinguish these from the standard bullion issue.

Do standard bullion issues have any mint mark for both AE gold and silver?

No. The Unc issues in these sets will be the first ones to have a mintmark with the exception of the gold pieces that were struck a few years back (1999?) using unfinished proof dies by mistake. Everything else has been no mintmark.
  • Very Rare!!!!!
  • Two of the three coins in the 3 piece SAE set should be real winners. The reverse proof will be limited to 250,000 while regular proof issues have been in the range of 400,000 to 700,000 over the run of the series. This places the reverse proof ahead of the 1994 SAE which sells for $225 or so. The uncirculated "W" SAE will also be limited to 250,000 while regular issues of the uncirc SAE have seen mintages from 4,000,000 to 9,000,000. A final resting place on this one is harder to predict, but should be significantly above the level for the 1996 SAE. I would not be surprised to see $400 each for the 3-coin silver anniversary sets - it just might take a while to get there...

Anyone collecting these things in Dansco albums now needs to buy a new page for their album. image
