I have a rainbow leek that I have carried daily for 3+ years and I don't know how they color them but it looks just as good today as when I bought it. The finish is unbelievably strong.

At the risk of taking this OT conversation too far, I think I'll pick one up. I was afraid the finish would be fragile. Thanks, JErry
Antique fishing stuff is cool. Some of the old hand made lures are fantastic pieces of 'functional art'. I'd like to have some of the old bamboo fly rods too to hang on my lodge wall.
