what is a good price to buy a complete set of roosies for?

a guy is getting a divorce...thats bad enough!...offers me his completed roosevelt dime collection.

all the holes are filled in this tan album...(by the way...who makes that album?....it has the sliding plastic windows in it...front and back of each page.)

all the coins have been in this album from 1990 to 1999 when he shelved it to pursue other interests.

some of the silver has started to tone a little ...but the clads are all toned quite a bit... (beautifully i might add).

all the silver toning is the about the same thru out...and all the clads are toned about same thru out. (in that grouping as well.)

all are mint state, all have been in the same album 6 to 10 years continuously.

all the proofs are there even the silver proofs.

couple of varieties....really a nice set!

i'm talking over 200 coins!

whats a fair price to offer?

ebay item # 300015820537 would be a good place to start, it would be really difficult for anyone to set a price without seeing them but this might give you a good referance.

It sounds like a Dansco Album, which usually sell new for 18-25 dollars depending on the venue.

    Somewhere between $300 and $3000
  • Depends on the Mint State quality ; MS60 or MS69 ?

MrsSpud bought a complete Intercept Shield Album of Roosevelts, including proofs, off of a dealer last year for $400. All of the coins in it are Gems, almost all are full bands. The coins are mostly white, but don't looked dipped. The dealer said it was his personal set and that he wanted MrsSpud to have it because he had seen how eagerly she had been working on a similar set. He said he wanted to sell it to a collector who wouldn't just break up the set and that some dealers had offered him more than that and that he had turned them down. A few minutes later a dealer saw she had the album and offered her $525 for it. She turned him down image
