Not quite the answer from the seller I was looking for

BIN'd something last night, paypal'd the guy this morning. Checked the email confirmation and found that for some reason eBay had managed to make a past paypal receipient my primary mailing address. I had this problem before (remember, Mozeppa? 
) and thought I'd fixed it. No dice. Dumb of me for not double-checking I guess, but it has been awhile since I bought anything through eBay.
Anywho, I immediately called PayPal to ask them why my ship to address was wrong. They checked their system, then checked eBay, and said it was a problem through eBay. So I hung up, went into my profile, deleted the wrong address, and selected the correct one.
So far so good.
Emailed the seller to explain what the deal was. Now I know I'd be suspicious if someone sent me a similar email, so I provided all the detail I could when I asked him to ship to me at my actual physical address.
He wrote back and said...
Your payment is pending through PayPal, it should clear within 5 days, In
the meantime, maybe you can update your info... I will try to remember, but
I print all my labels through Paypal and I have, in the past, forgot about
similar requests.
Now this was about a $275 purchase--not something I want to go astray. I called PayPal back to see if I could cancel the first payment, then send him another payment with my correct address. They said no.
So I emailed the seller and asked if he'd refuse the payment and allow me to repay him with the correct address. No word in about 6 hours.
Any other suggestions? Guess I'll get notification of payment clearning, and then I can email him again to remind him to ship to me at the right address?
