BEP Officials Claim Texas P&D Quarters are " Normal" Finish !

CW, 9/11 reports BEP Officials claim Texas Quarters were not Minted in 2005 with a Satin Finish. One wonders if these are the same Officials that pronounced the G. Goodacre Sacajewa Golden Dollars as not being Burnished ! They later recanted their "Opinion" ! Maybe this time they got it right ?

not the BEP......
<< <i>I assume you mean the U.S. Mint,
not the BEP...... >>
The BEP distributed some Texas Coin and Currency sets.
EDITED TO ADD: Both Quarters are D, no P's in the set.
well if they want to call them regular coins, I take them out of their holders, submit them, get back a bunch of MS-69's and sell them, make a killing and be done with it.

Of course, that's not a denial that they might have been minted in 2004 with a Satin Finish, such as for trial pieces or for planned future use, and then utilized in 2006 as part of the BEP set.

They were struck in 2004, just as the law provides, and what a sweet test of those special dies (SATIN FINISH).
<< <i>Then their value is now not much >>
Not necessarily. If the Red Book and/or major TPGs beg to differ, what the BEP says won't mean diddly.
The 2004 Texas quarter in this set is definitely different in terms of finish. Looks very much like Satin Finish of alter years.
