Watch notice ebay scam?

I have recieved two emails recently from what appears to be ebay. The emails are notifying me that an auction I was watching has been relisted. The only problem is that I have never watched the items indicated in the email. Is this some new scammer trying to get you to click on a link in the email?

I always go into the regular e-bay link to re-add if I am still interested.

Same here. I get them for other items offered by sellers I was watching. Is it a scam or an eBay software glich?

I've gotten two of these 2nd chance offers in as many weeks. Both about coins where I was second highest bidder...and both coins I really wanted.
Knowing both sellers very well, I emailed them and both said that the coins in question were not being reoffered. Both sellers were extremely concerned. If I receive any more 2nd Chance offers, I'll just forward the offer to Safe Harbor at Ebay.

I don't know for sure...they looked official, but I just deleted them. - Preussen

If I list a Morgan dollar for say $600, eBay charges a $4.80 listing fee. So now image that the coin doesn't sell.
I know that if a "relisted" item sells the second time, the listing fees are refunded.
Rather than relist the same coin, I click the relist link from this closed & unsold auction, and I now change the auction and I list a Lincoln cent.
The automated e-mail goes out to those who were watching the Morgan dollar, only now when they click into the auction, it's actually for a Lincoln cent and confusion errupts.
It's not a big deal.
