What you like and dislike about Heritage thread

I've posted more threads here about Heritage than any other subject, now that I think about it. Good and bad.
As the major auction house of US coins they're an easy target. The Microsoft (I use to say General Motors) of coin auction houses.

The good:

Their archives are the best reference source for collectors, bar none. Their IT deserve applauds from all of us.
Brian Shipman isn't there anymore, from what I can tell. He was the most important person Heritage ever employed
that none of us knew about.

The bad:

They have posted some of the most beautiful images of US coins I have ever seen, yet continue to take the worst images
on a regular basis. They have no clue about coin photography, and don't seem to care unless a major consignor does.

What do you like and dislike about Heritage?

I don't know how many hundreds of thousands (or millions) of dollars they have left on the table from their consignors with some of those images.

I like the depth and breadth of what they offer.

I like watching the auctions grow in the previews.

    I like the auction archives.

I like the folks there that I like. image

    I like the website.

I don't like the factory/assembly line aspect of the business.

I don't like the photos (but, I almost never buy a coin based on the photo so that may not be important).

I don't like being offered average Heritage realized prices for great coins.

Some of the auctioneers are irritating.

    I like the coins.

I dislike the fact that I cant afford them.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

I love their archives. I use them practically daily for research.

I hate the fact that the software forces you to sign in each time for details. You should be able to just stay signed on.

I like their technology and their competitiveness.

I like that I can trust them with my mail bids.

I like that they reveal reserves and opening bids before the auction begins.

I don't like that their catalog descriptions are often ignorantly brief and generic.

I'm angry that they kill so many trees for full page descriptions of nothing coins.

And their P&H fees can be truly obnoxious.
