trying to figure out how to post a picture here in the space without having to do so just as an attachment that people have to open up

You can post a picture this way

1 Find a website that will host your picture. I use photobucket.com. You can also use the PSA set registry. The key part is that the photo is hosted on the internet. You can even use these boards to host a picture. Use the test forum to start a new topic. Add the file as an attachment to your test message. Then click on the attachment link to show the photo.
2 When you have the photo on the screen, right click the picture and select properties.
3 Copy the file location by highlighting the entire address path under properties and click "copy"
4 Select "reply to thread" on this board
5 Click the picture icon button on the top menu (fourth from the left)
6 Paste the file location you copied in step 3 into the text box
7 Hit the Preview button to see that everything happened correctly
