It has a pretty darn nice strike for a Fleagle. I would guess that the spots on the reverse and the couple of marks on the obverse field under UNITED STATES keep it from "gem".

Flying Eagles are CuNi, right? In that case they wouldnt get a color designation.

If you're referring to the line that starts at the left of the second t in states and ends above the wing, yes.

Yeah, if you like zits! The spots at 9 and 11 o'clock on reverse ruin the coin IMO.
Russ does take good pictures that show all of the pimples and warts!
