Question on upgrading.

i have a coin in a pcgs ogh. if i wanted to try for an upgrade would they crack it out of the slab to examine it? or do they examine it in the slab and return it unopened if it doesnt upgrade?

If you crack it out, you start off at square #1, It could come back in a bodybag.

ok well, is there anyone that someody could recommend that i could send this coin to, to have it looked at and then sent to pcgs?

No, but if it comes back lower you would be covered by their grading guarantee.

The only thing it will cost you is a bit of grading and shipping money to send it in the holder. You would also loose the "province" of being in an OGH if that means anything to you. This method is the safest for ANACS and NGC coins especially if you put a minimum grade down.
