Proof Silver Eagles - Interesting Minting Pattern?

Intentional or not, the mint facility producing the proof silver eagles has taken on a interesting pattern.

The proof silver eagles were all minted at San Francisco during the Reagan/Bush years (1986-1992), Philadelphia during the Clinton years (1993-2000), and so far at West Point during the Bush II years (2001-2006).

Has anyone else noticed this? Coincidence? Or planned? Will we see a different mint produce the 2009 proof silver eagles, perhaps Denver? Kind of interesting I think.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Were different people running the Mint in those time frames?

Well, continuing this geographic progression, it is obvious that the 2009-2016 coins will be struck in Boston.
