Help me find a honest coin dealer in Queens!

you guys are the pros , so where do I go in Queens ( Manhatten, or Brooklyn would be ok too a guess) to find an honest dealer. I would feel uncomfortible and out of place in a ritzy high end shop. I just looking for nice smaller shops. Or do the even exist anymore?
I was in Lancaster PA last week and stopped in a small coin shop on rt 340. It was open only 3 days a week. He had a huge collection of pretty much every coin (non gold)I could think of. Five cases of coins to stare at. I was an awesome experience to see so much on display and me the only customer there. All the coins were priced and easily viewed. Nothing high end but nice stuff. I spend an hour there and wished I could have stayed longer. I purchased a 1867 (no rays) 5 cent piece XF in a flip for $45. Complete impulse buy but owning a coin minted 100 years before I was born made me incredibly happy. He even had a 2007 red book out for me to reference with. I though if only there was something like is near me....

Unfortunately, New York City is not a good environment for coin shops. Rents are high, security is a big issue, a lot of neighborhoods where rents are affordable are ethic neighborhoods where there is little interest in coin collecting. There is a monthly coin show in Parsippany, New Jersey and would probably be worth the trip if you can arrange transportation. Next show is September 1-3 (link). There is also a regular here Scardale Coins in White Plains, NY (link). Maybe someone knows of a decent shop accessible via subway, but the pickings for mom-and-pop type coin shops are rather slim within the city limits.

It's Manhattan, not manhatten and Stacks is probably the worlds greatest coin shop......and it's in Manhattan.

    That's in NY.image

    I would suggest the following:

"MELVILLE COIN & STAMP SHOW HELD ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH SUNDAYS OF EVERY MONTH AT THE CATAPANO HALL AT 585 ROUTE 110 (BROADHOLLOW ROAD) IN MELVILLE LONG ISLAND JUST 1 1/2 MILES SOUTH OF THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. FURTHER INFORMATION CALL GEORGE AT 516 557 7096."

The bad news is that the most recent show is today (I was there this morning when it opened).
