Holy cow Batman, I must be a trend setter - especially if Anaconda is jumped onboard the low grade type set!

And grasshopper, you are about to learn the mysteries of PCGS and low grade coin certification - may the wear be with you!

Pocket Piece set with an average grade of .93

Can you make out the date on all of those coins? Unless there are distinguishing characteristics which confirm a coins date, they won't slab a dateless coin.

Can you tell what the date of this SLQ is?

Most likely pre-1925. Possibly Type one, as I see no chainmail.

This one looks like a BB candidate; the date area appears to have been cleaned.

Steve, I think you're right that they won't holder that Draped Bust Large Cent because it has been cleaned around what used to be the date, and the date is worn off. I'll have to get another one. (Maybe I'll break out my 64 and put it to the bench grinder.)

    << <i>I like the 38-O dime...nice coin.

IMO, you'd me happier in the long run with a Dansco album for those coins and save quite a bit of money.

In fact, you may have just inspired me to to the same. A Dansco 7070 type set in AG-VG! >>

How do you know its a New Orleans mint coin? >>

I think it's because the 1838 P's had stars on the obverse. Large and small star varieties, if I'm not mistaken. image
