should i be nervous?

i`ve never seen this happen before so just asking if this is a normal occurance..... i sent out 3 submissions in one box, insured and tracking # on thursday, entered tracking # that night and showed my package entered the system. friday did not show any progress, this morning tracking showed it left long beach facility early this morning. now in the afternoon it says: Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office.

I sent a package 85 lbs of Silver American Eagles and other bullion silver, overnight ups to California early AM delivery on thursday to capture early morning market prices on friday. The package was held up for 3 hours by a Gov agency at the airport out there and the delay was beyound ups's control. I guess the machines picked up on a large amount of plastic in the package and wanted a closer look. No shipping refund for me.

No.

<< <i>How did you send it? If you sent it registered then it will show when it was entered/accepted and then again after it was delivered; usually updated in the evening. Registered is scanned at every stop but only the USPS can track those. You can go down to your local P.O. branch and ask them to track it but they may charge you for that. >>
i made a mistake on that, i asked for "certified" instead of "registered". when i asked for certified AND insured they said it couldn`t be done. the clerk said i could do insured and delivery confirmation. they never thought of registered and insured.
