    I was very impressed with the high resolution photos that PCGS has been working on. Much better and now they are truly fun to view.

    Hats off to Phil Arnold at PCGS that has been improving on the quality almost on a daily basis.

    This is the Dr. Thaine Price specimen which I acquired in November 2005 from the Morse sale through Heritage.

    Pretty cool coin......Grades MS66 with a population of 2, 0 better....

    Jay,

    Although I love your 1931-D, I like jpkinla's a little more.

    His is a 66, and I'd have to say your's is a 65.


    Edited: Jay have you had them side by side for a closer examination ? I noticed a few minor abrasions on the Sun's rays on your's but not on the 66.

    Both coins are stunning and something I could only dream of owning - let alone try and assemble a Gem MS set of Saints !!!

    SG, I haven't seen your so I can't comment as you have seen both but this piece is pretty darn special. I actually feel it was on one my better buys.

    Maybe I can see yours at the next show.....
