    Neat idea for a thread.

After the new change gets sorted from this jar, which is always kept here, the stuff I don't want to keep goes into a spend-it jar, and the pre-1982 cents go into a separate container.

Okay, I'd make fun of this but it's highly likely there's some stuff around my house that would rival it.

That's an awesome idea.......I cashed in my 5-Gallon Poland Spring change jar about 3 months ago. The
money was supposed to be used for a family vacation, but it went towards bills instead image . Anyways, the jug took me
around 7-8 years to fill, and it was a mixture of of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, so I thought. I carried
out the change to the local Commerce Bank (Fee Coin counting here!!!) in 5 pillow cases. In the end, the counter
kicked out 2 silver quarters, 4 silver dimes, and a SBA dollar. Geez, I wonder how those got in there! image

Anways, after all was said and done, I cashed in just under $2300 in change. The woman at the branch told me that
it was the second largest change haul they've come across. Someone about a year ago, cashed in over $3000 of
coins. Wow, and I thought I was going to get a hernia!

My new jug has about $35.23 in it.......Looking forward to that vacation in 2012!!!

Lots of beer steins and mason jars.

Do coin collectors like beer and pickled pigs feet?

No, really. I like the steins.

Or maybe I just like beer.

    Hold the pigs feet.

I do love Donaldson!! He was the first SciFi I read, but not the last. I have have bookcases full of the stuff. I have not read the last ones yet. I hate waiting for the books to come out, so I try to wait until the "trilogy" is finished. I've waited 15 years for some of them.
