Nobody has done it quite like Walter did...Almost looks effortless he's so smooth...
I still can only rank Payton as the 2nd best RB ever though...Jim Brown is still the greatest RB I've ever seen...He was like an adult playing against a bunch of Pop Warner 10 year olds...Just sick...
Too bad Payton didn't get the chance to play on more good teams...His one shot at Super Bowl glory went to the Fridge....

As much as I love Mike Ditka, this will always be a black mark ( to me a t least) on his career. I just can't understand why he didn't give Payton the ball 1 time near the goal line so that he could score a TD in his only Super Bowl appearance?!?!?? I get sick whenever I watch highlights and see Fridge stumble foward for a score.
What a football player! My goodness....I wasn't a big fan of 'Da Bears and I didn't follow them closely. But, this guy was one of the best in history. I LOVE that fact that HE hit the defenders and not the other way around. Nowadays, everyone uses speed to get around the corner or dive lower than the other guy and not just smack someone right in the mouth for an extra couple of yards! That, coupled with the fact that he was so smooth and fluid as he ran. Amazing. Thanks for sharing Zef!

Jason-do you have any highlight clips of Jim Brown? He was before my time, I grew up watching Walter, Barry and Emmitt and it's hard for me to imagine someone better than the three of them. I've only seen a handful of different black and white clips but no real montage if you will, I've just heard about his greatness.
Zef-thanks for passing that on, I've now forwarded it to every football fan I know. I loved watchin Walter dive over the goal line, and his "I'll hit you first" attitude, and those long gazelle-like strides were something to be seen. Looked like he slowed down when in fact he just jumped ahead of you by 2 steps...he was unbelieveable.
Best player I ever saw play the game. I am from Green Bay and was surprised there was only one hightlight against my sorry team. Walter was a gift for football fans to see. There won't be another like him. Anyone remember when he was "Superback" in a game. Bears sucked so bad at QB Sweetness ran the show. Even threw a TD is I am not mistaken.
Just looked at his passing stats. 11 completions for his career. Oh yeah, 8 of them were for TD's.
I feel like I am 12 years old again seeing that video. Thank you so much for sharing it.

d!ckhead, er, Ditka was playing it up for the media and fans....Remember the Super Bowl Shuffle? Jim McMahon was the bare-assed funky QB, The Fridge was the gold-toothed Wonderkind, the lineman were havin' a great ol' time, while respectable guys like Payton tried to contain their smirks....can't fudge a great career, tho, Sweetness was absolutely the Sweetest and that can't be altered

Everything I have on Jim Brown is old school VHS Game Film. Some good highlights on the Pro Football Hall of Fame DVD set they put out last year too. I doubt I could figure out how to transfer VHS to computer..lol
Jim Brown was all those guys rolled into one. He was the fastest guy on the field, usually one of the biggest guys on the field and had sick moves. Not Barry Sanders stop-and-go sick, but he didn't need to be. He'd just run guys over..lol..I'd love to see a montage of all Jim Brown's best highlights too, i didn't know they had this kinda stuff on YouTube. Pretty cool.
And Earl Campbell was a beast. Another of my top 10 favorite RBs of all time.
