Would the real 20th Anniversary Eagle Stand up please

We all know that you can order the 20th anniversary sets from the mint Weds. and yes I'll take my shot at them.

But what about the folks that already thought they bought the PCGS Slabbed 20th anniversary coins last year? Heres one HERE

    Both are actually valid.

Since 1986 was the debut, the 20th anniversary debut of the SAE was in 2005.
However, since anniversaries usually start counting their 1st year, one year after the event, then this is the 20th anniversary.

For me, the US Mint gets the nod since they are making a few special items from it and it is a US Mint product. PCGS just wanted to market with another 1st strike and get more money.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • PCGS needs to stop putting all that extraneous nonsense on their slabs. Irrelevant, pandering, commercial tomfoolery.

    ... did I mention unProfessional?

What do you think, Mr. Bigglesworth?

This is the old argument, when did the 21 Century start, 2000 or 2001?

  • wouldn't 2005 technically be the 20th YEAR of the AE and 2006 be the 20th anniversary?
