Recent Auction Catalogs

I've never used any large auction houses, and don't recieve any of those nice glossy catalogs. However, for fun and education, I'd like to find a few recent quality catalogs. So, I went to ebay, and found nothing but old ones... really old. I'd really like to find some newer higher quality catalogs. Anyone know a source for these? Any help is appreciated.

If you are looking for a particular one, just ask. Perhaps the BST forum would be a better one though. Some of us keep all of them. Some keep the better ones. But some will just throw them out after the auction, or sooner. Many of us here get them by the ton each year anyway.

  • Not really looking for a particular, just a range (of course, any pictures of pretty buffs is always appreciated).
Did not put on the BST forum, mainly cause I was thinking more in terms of getting information. Did not think to ask about buying them from forum membersimage
But, I'd gladly paypal someone a fair amount to ship me a stack!
  • You can have all of mine! I throw them in the trash, most of the time with not even openning the envelope. And in a lot of cases the BOX.

I have about 20 or more recent catalogs waiting for me to drag them to the next coin show I attend so I can give them away.
I gave away about 50 last year. No space to keep them and unless you went to the sale and viewed the lots, they aren't that important.

I keep them all for references. There have been a number of occasions when I could pedigree a coin to another collection using older catalogue images.

The last set of Heritage Denver catalogues are just beautiful but the problem is that there are two of them and the must weigh 5 pounds (probably only 2 but they feel heavy).

I purge mine now and then. Keep your eyes on BST.

I receive around 60 lbs of auction catalogs a year. I'm running out of room and I refuse to buy anymore bookcases. ( I've bought four this past year alone ). I'm running out of wall space.

I plan on keeping only a few for reference, but someday soon, most will have to be gotten rid of. The value of these catalogs seem to be in the $5-25 range these days, I guess I'll consign to a Numismatic Bibliophile Auction House one of these days.
