Shipping an Ebay item to Puerto Rico - any info?

I have a buyer who is looking to bid on a somewhat expensive item ($800), his feedback is light but good, and he lives in Puerto Rico. Has anyone shipped there recently, and can tell me how to best protect myself? I would probably use UPS, unless someone says otherwise, as long as they can track the shipment - and as long as this would protect me with PayPal. Thanks!

I am making the assumption that you are not talking about something huge.
I live in the Virgin islands which are the next islands over from Puerto Rico.....the same applies to anything shipped here.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
May want to contact the buyer before shipping. Much of the island is flooded and without power. I can't imagine mail delivery is a priority right now depending on the severity in the buyers area.

When did packcollecotor get banned! I liked that guy!
I hooe it got there by now. USPS is slow but this was 16 years ago!
Since someone resurrected this thread, does anyone at all use stamps for priority mail anymore?
