Any T206 Wagner's graded by another card company?

Are all the graded T206 Honus Wagners in PSA slabs?

Comments

  • No, on Network 54 they had scans of a couple Wagners in a SGC & GAI slabs, though it was rumoured the one in the GAI slab was eventually crossed over.

Beckett has confirmed they got into the game a little late and have never graded one. SGC did not respond to my request for information.

GAI = 0, They had one. It was a 3.5 from the Nagy collection auctioned off by Mastro last year, but was crossed to an SGC 3 earlier this year.

SGC has 3. The SGC 3 that is in the above attached article that BMW has, an SGC 1 that Hal Lewis purchased late last year that was a PSA 1 crossover and the SGC 3 Nagy collection one that was crossed over from GAI.

PSA has 25. I do not know if that includes the one that actually was crossed to SGC? I also do not know if it includes the couple of Heinie Wagners that were labeled as Honus Wagners?

The most interesting item is that in the PSA populations reports, the PSA 8 Wagner is not even in the numbers? The highest graded Wagner is a PSA 5, per the population report, as of 2 minutes ago. Otherwise there are (4) PSA 3 & 4's and (20) PSA 1 & 2's, in addition to the PSA 5.

Thanks for the info! Interesting numbers, curious about the PSA population report.
  • the "mcnall gretzky" wagner is a "pedigreed" card & listed, as a psa 8, individually...

How do you search "pedigreed" cards in the population report?
  • The pop report numbers can get confusing. The McNall Gretzky Wagner is listed right below the other Honus Wagner entry in the pop report.

I read the BMW article and was curious about the pop numbers, but no Gretzky McNall! If you really want to get confused, check out the '39 Playball numbers and all the sample cards in there. Jeez louis....

Thanks for the clarification. Went back and checked. Sure enough, a separate Wagner listed under the other Wagners.
