Was any other auction firm, besides ANR, in the running to get the Norweb Washingtonia collection?
I am looking forward to the auction of this material, even though I don't collect it. It seems like there are a lot of interesting pieces coming up that have been off the market for years. Does anyone know if this collection was shopped around to the other firms, or whether ANR got the consignment because of the good job that QDB did with the Norwebs in the past? I'm just curious.
Also, I need to take this opportunity to plug one of QDB's old books-- The Norweb Collection: An American Legacy. The book is spectacular and one of my favorites. I think I wrote a review of this book for the boards, if anyone is intersted. Definitely a thumb's up book!
