I wish NGC would make up thier minds

I submitted some coins to NGC in Baltimore. I was told that the coins had to be removed from the US Mint's plastic containers. I did as directed.

In Denver, I submitted a few more coins to NGC. As I was removing them from the plastic containers, I was told that I did NOT have to remove them. The "great" thing about this was that the coins in the plastic containers would not fit into the flips that NGC had. I should have gone over to the PCGS table and got a handfull of thier flips.

  • I think what may have happened is that in the first instance, NGC did not offer taking the coins out of the package for free. Since then, they have redone their policy, and now they don't charge to take things out. They don't need to go in flips, you can submit them in their original packaging, or a holder of your choice.

This time around I was told that if I was submitting individual coins, the coins (in containers or not) had to be in flips.
