  • Depends on what direction you are coming. The only two that I know of are The Dugout on Beach Blvd (in Hobby City) and Taylors Cards near Knott's Berry Farm. These two stores are to the west of Disneyland. I believe The Dugout is closing because Hobby City has sold the land or something like that.

Is one of those in the kids amusement park, Adventure City, or something like that?

If you're in Anaheim this weekend there is a show near LAX, at Hollywood Park. It's not the National, but there are a lot of dealers set up. It certainly beats any store.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

    Hi Creepercat,

Is the Dugout any good? I go to Taylors Cards, but he does not have that much stuff to open. Know of any descent shops in the Fullerton/Brea area or beyond?

    Thanks, Mark

Thanks for the info everyone... I recall (not 100%) a large one story shop within walking distance of Disneyland... then again, it could have been the big "A"

Wasn't there a shop that began with Briganti or something along that line in the area??? I haven't been out to the Coast since 1989 so I may be bringing up a shop or name that is long gone.......for some reason though I seem to remember a name similar to this and if not mistaken they did a lot of mail order also.....

    Aman

Maybe your thinking of this guy.

    Brewart Stamps & Coins
    1725 W Chapman Ave # A
    Orange, CA 92868
    (714) 533-0400

He used to be a mail order card business with his son. No longer has his son involved. He's only open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 3:00 and has all kinds of stuff, but most his high grade stuff has been picked through. He has just about everything in nrmt condition or below, but you have to be on his good side to get him to pull it from the vault or back room.

He had some awesome nrmt sets of 1956 topps BB and 1955 topps doubleheaders.

Many low pop 1969's and 1971's from come from his vault

  • Across the street (which street??) there is a shopping center/antique mall with toy shops and I think a card shop is in there. It has been a couple years though.

  • Griffins - You are probably thinking of Hobby City which has a very small amusement park with 1 carnival-like roller coaster for young kids. The Dugout is in there.

    RemynSkyler,
The Dugout has a decent collection and seem to have a good selection of unopened material. (I don't follow the whole modern card insert thing much). I haven't been over there for at least 6 months but was reading in the local paper that Hobby City (which they are a part of) has been sold, I believe it was for housing (of course).

In Fullerton/Brea area is Mantles which is on east side of Brea Blvd, south of Imperial Highway.

Baseball Cards Plus is in Huntington Beach and they have a good selection. Brian, the owner, is a good guy and has helped me with my collection, especially the 80's stuff. He seems to be one of the few dealers that try to make sure that you are enjoying the hobby and takes an interest in what you are working on. They are a little out of the way of Disneyland but thought I'd throw it out there in case you decide to head for the beach.
