Question for Mystery auction buyers-Have you won anything worthwhile?

rec78rec78 Posts: 5,873 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hello, i would like to know if anyone on this forum that has purchased a mystery auction of any kind has ever gotten more value then they paid? Or do you know of anyone that has? (verified of course)

I, for one, would never bid on one. Somewhere out there, someone may have actually won one and made out. I would like to know if anyone has made out on one of these types of auctions-Coins or anything.

Just curious--Thanks for any responses---Bob

A "half pound estate mystery bag of old coins" bought off ebay looked like this when I poured it out of the shipping envelope:

I'd reveal the seller but I want to buy the rest of their auction lots

I think that gold coin in Baley's sigline was also in one of these lots, too. Wow, these sellers are such chumps- amazing how they stay in business.
