    It looks more like a piece from the pot at the end of a rainbow.

    Actually the reverse is gold toned with about 50% of the obverse rainbow in blue and magenta.

    It's been in one of those air tites with the black foam rings since 1976 (it's a proof).

    The image sucks because I took it with one of those cheap mini-camcorders with it sitting on an envelope and no additional lighting.

    That is not a rainbow, it is a nicely toned, colorful coin....However, THIS is a rainbow...
