Thoughts on 2006 Bowman Chrome Baseball?

Anybody have any insight as to whether boxes for this year will be worth buying?

  • I like the product usually, but I go out and buy singles instead of boxes.

  • I could be way off but I remember reading something in a Beckett that said due to the new MLBPA guidelines in regard to rookie cards that the new Bowman product wasn't going ot be anything like it has in the past. Apparently, from now on, a player has to have played a game in the ML in order for a company to produce a mainstream rc card for them. Bowman has tried to get around it by producing rc cards in the form of an insert set but I'm not sure that's going to hold the same appeal.

Check out the Beckett Baseball forum, not the box break forum. A guy on there has just busted NINE CASES of Bowman Chrome. That should give you and idea of what its like.
    Looking for Carl Willey items.
